About Us

The Morgan County Humane Society building is under construction. We should be open by the end of the year. We accept owner-surrendered pets and we are a NO-Kill shelter. Unfortunately, all of our foster homes are currently filled. Please call 256-773-7222 or Annette Dean at 256-751-1515 for more information, to volunteer, be a foster parent, and/or make a tax deductible donation. Please join us at the following events:

October 22 - PETCO Halloween Carnival 10 am - 2 pm. Food/drinks, games available for a donation.

October 29 - Walk Your Paws, Wilson Morgan Park

October 29 - Falkville Fall Festival, Historic Downtown, 8 am - 2 pm

November 12 - PETCO Adoption Weekend, 10 am - 2 pm. Food/drinks available for a donation.

December 10 - Boat Parade of Lights, Riverwalk Marina, 5 pm - until... Food/drinks available for a donation. Pets for adoption will be on site.

January 7 - PETCO Adoption Weekend, 10 am - 2 pm. Food/drinks available for a donation.
